Red Balls of Fire

A FEW NOTES FOR FESTIVAL GOERS:

  • Seating at the event: We do our best to provide plenty of seating and gathering spaces throughout the event. However, seating is limited. You are very welcome—and encouraged—to bring your own folding chairs, picnic rugs, and portable seating to make yourself at home.

  • Inclement Weather Postponement: Winterheat is an outdoor winter event built around fire. While we love the cold, extreme weather (such as heavy rain, damaging winds, or fire bans) may force us to postpone.
If a postponement is necessary, we will confirm the new date no later than 7 days prior to the original event date (August 1st). We will announce this across all channels—website, email, and social media—so you can plan accordingly.

  • Parking: Parking in the inner city can be difficult with such large numbers attending the event - however - the event is held literally right at the Pacific Park tram stop! Where possible we recommend parking at Newcastle Interchange & catching the tram to the event.

  • Safety at Winterheat : We take every care to create a safe and welcoming environment for all. However, by attending Winterheat, you acknowledge that final responsibility for your personal safety—particularly around fire features and installations—rests with you as an individual. Children must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
